The Bible doesn't advocate you taking care of yourself in this way.
What it does advocate is an army can destroy the surrounding
people if they come against the nation itself.
And Cain and Able are likely suspects. You see that Cain was
not allowed to die, and there are others who accidentally killed
someone and are allowed to live in a safe place where men
cannot kill them.
An eye for an eye does not allow you to kill someone before you
are dead -- uh huh! ain't the Bible interesting when you dissect
it.
